A Mini Travel Guide
Campuget is conveniently in the eastern Occitane at the intersection between Nimes, Arles and Avignon.
The area is easy of access and a gateway to the French ‘South’. You are located between three distinct cultural capitals, only an hour out from two national parks (one swampy, one mountanous) and two hours from the Cote d’Azur. Best of all… the venue is a direct 3h train from the center of Paris.

Any advice?
We recommend staying in Nimes, the closest city from Campuget - 20mins door to door. On top of that, you are located at the center of the “Rome of France” where you will find some of the best preserved Roman ruins in the world. The town is modern, comfortable and, peppered with cafes and shops. If the outdoors is more your style, you can take a kayak under the great Nimes Roman aqueduct, rock climb across rocky landscapes or go flamingo searching in the Park of the Camargue located nearby.
Regardless of where you decide to stay, the beauty is that you can easily travel to all three cities and the numerous attractions between them. Be on the look-out for the tourist activities Hannah and I will be setting up around Campuget and make sure to book a car so you can easily traverse throughout the region…
On the day of the wedding we will be planning some mini-buses that will be carrying people between Nimes and Campuget. That way you can leave your car at home and enjoy your time at the wedding safely!
